Dr. Hughes
Dr. Hughes was born in Santa Ana, California where his dad was a Marine Officer. He later grew up in Dubuque, Iowa with 1 brother and 1 sister.
He went to college at St. John’s University in Minnesota and graduated Cum Laude, 1971-1975. He then went to Iowa State University in 1975 as a graduate student in biology.
Dr. Hughes married his high school sweetheart, Toni Hughes, also from Dubuque, Iowa.
After Iowa State Dr. Hughes attended medical school at the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, now Des Moines College of Health Sciences, in Des Moines, Iowa 1979.
Dr. Hughes and his wife Toni lived in Flint, Michigan while Dr. Hughes did his internship at Flint Osteopathic Hospital 1979-1980.
In 1980, he and his family moved to Milwaukee to start practice with Dr. Davis. He received board certification from the American College of Osteopathic Family Practice 1984.
Dr. Hughes is actively involved with the State Osteopathic Medicine & Medical Society including years spent as President and Past President.
He is an active staff member at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital in Brookfield, Wisconsin, Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin and Waukesha Memorial in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Dr. Hughes and his wife Toni, are proud parents of 3 children. Keenan attended Kenyon College and graduated in 2003. Alison attended Denison University and graduated in 2004. Keenan and Alison both currently live and work in Brooklyn, New York. Jordan is currently a junior at Carleton College in Minnesota.
Dr. Hughes enjoys his yearly fishing trip with his 2 boys, his friends and Dr. Davis. He is an avid reader and plays golf and tennis regularly.
